About
Marie Denton
Marie has spent decades sitting with people in the hardest seasons of their lives — in recovery rooms, in marriage seminars, and across the counseling table — and she still believes the same thing she did at the beginning: no one has to walk through it alone.
Talk With MarieHer Story
Marie earned her B.A. from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and began her work in the addiction recovery community of the Dayton and Kettering area. It was there she saw how deeply faith, honesty, and practical accountability could change the direction of a life.
She relocated to the Houston, Texas area in 1998 and continued her training, earning a Certification in Christian Counseling, Board Certification in Christian Therapy from Grace Bible Institute, and a Master's in Psychology from The Institute of Theology & Christian Therapy.
Over the years she has facilitated Twelve-Step recovery-based programs, including Celebrate Recovery, created marriage curriculum, and — along with her husband Gary — taught 2-Into-1 marriage seminars. In every setting she pairs Biblical principles with practical steps and tools people can actually use.

Marie meets people where they are. You do not need a particular church background, and you do not need to arrive with the right vocabulary. You only need to be willing to be honest about where you are and open to taking a next step.
